Builder’s Kit
This Kit Does NOT include 3D Printed Bulkheads. A 3D Printer and 3D Printing Knowledge is required for this kit.
Mini Kraton Chassis Upgrade Kit — Builder’s Kit Version
The Builder’s Kit version of the Mini Kraton Chassis Upgrade Kit is designed for customers who want the main chassis upgrade components, while printing their own bulkheads and center diff/motor mount.
This kit includes the aluminum chassis, carbon fiber top support, carbon fiber battery tray. All required hardware is included.
And while supplies last: the kits will come with TPU mud guards, and the stock ESC/servo mount (just because I already had those printed).
The Bulkheads are intentionally designed with slightly undersized holes so they can be drilled and cleared to the correct final size. This allows for a cleaner, tighter, and more precise fit instead of relying on loose printed tolerances. Further instruction will be included with the 3D files. I believe they are “dialed in” and sized as perfectly as they can be. However prints from one printer with different material and nozzle size, compare to another printer using the same file will have differences. Even two different filaments on the same printer will have differences. Please watch my YouTube video on Bulkhead Prep, before committing to the idea of purchasing and printing your own. The bulkheads are the single most difficult part of the kit to make.
Each Builder’s Kit includes:
- Aluminum chassis
- Carbon fiber top support
- Carbon fiber battery tray
- TPU mud guards
- Stock ESC/servo mount
- Complete hardware kit
- 2.1mm drill bit for drilling the diff cover mounting holes to the correct size
- 3mm drill bit for clearing the arm pin holes
- Extra hardware bag with one spare of each required hardware piece
- 3D STL Files for Bulkheads and Motor/Diff mount.
The hardware kit includes the exact required count for assembly, plus an additional spare hardware bag in case one of the small screws, nuts, or required pieces gets lost during the build.
This version is a great option for builders who already have access to a 3D printer and want to save money while still getting the main chassis, carbon fiber parts, TPU parts, hardware, and drill bits needed to complete the build properly.
Please note: This is the Builder’s Kit version. Some parts are intended to be printed by the customer, and minor drilling/clearancing is part of the assembly process.
